Your wedding jewellery held a special sentiment?
I really wanted to keep my dad and nana close at heart during my wedding day, so I chose a little message locket to which I added both their photographs. I also gifted little heart necklaces for the bridesmaids to say thank you. All the bridesmaid necklaces were unique (just like them!) as they were all hand stamped with their initials. Pretty keepsakes from the day.
How was the reception? You wanted it to reflect you both.
Yes, all the decorations were handmade including the table settings, placenames, garden games, signage. Lots of DIY accessories and fun little touches like hand painted peg dolls for the wedding topper.
Also, as we live by the seaside, we had to have 99 ice creams! We needed them as we had a ceilidh, which was hilarious but so hot in a tin roof barn. (I’m Scottish, it had to happen!) We then danced the night away to the classics and then camped under the stars in the field
Is there anything you would do differently?
Not really, it was brilliant wedding day with lots of happy memories. However, it was the hottest day of the year, and poor Sim wore a 3-piece wool suit…! We also had pick and mix but forgot to put it out so was eating it for months later!
What was your favourite memory from the wedding?
Ooooh it’s hard to pick just one. But dancing out of the church was so fun, just pronounced Mr and Mrs Nolloth. Everyone was up and dancing. Such a special moment.
