About Us 

We’re looking for a confident, friendly, organised person who has initiative and empathy to support our lovely customer experience team. Posh Totty Designs is an established British jewellery brand with a real passion for creating high-quality but affordable personalised jewellery for our loyal customers. We are a close creative team who believe in slow not fast fashion; designs that can be worn every day and then treasured forever.  

We are committed to creating sustainable jewellery; from utilising recycled precious materials to providing a care and re-wear service that enables customers to love their favourite PTD piece for longer. Established in 2004, we are one of the largest female-owned workshops in Sussex, with beautiful shops in both Brighton and London, along with our online brand store and collaborations with e-commerce shopping platforms.  

We are proud to have the customer at the heart of everything we do, from the moment they visit our site or walk into our shop, to the moment they open their personalised order. 

What you’ll be doing: 

  • Responding to customer enquiries across email, phone, live chat and various online selling platforms (such as Etsy, NOTHS and our own site). 
  • Updating and liaising with the team via email, telephones and slack. 
  • Working closely with our jewellery workshop and production team to ensure orders are processed smoothly. 
  • Managing returns and refunds and ensuring they’re handled sensitively and efficiently. 
  • Processing customer orders across multiple E-commerce platforms. 
  • Assisting with jewellery Ring Making Workshop bookings; including taking new bookings, updating customer details, amending existing reservations and helping with any related queries. 
  • Upholding our excellent customer service reputation, including maintaining our Platinum Trusted Service status and Etsy Star Seller. 

 What we’re looking for: 

  • Someone who genuinely cares about customers and wants to provide the best experience possible. 
  • Experience dealing with customers via email and phone. 
  • Great problem-solving skills, empathy, and a calm, can-do attitude. 
  • Good computer skills and confidence navigating online platforms. 
  • An eye for detail and the ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. 
  • A true team player who enjoys working collaboratively but can also take initiative. 
  • Experience with platforms like Shopify, Etsy and Not On The High Street is particularly advantageous. 
  • Working days will be Monday – Thursday each week. 9am  5pm.

Retail Shop Manager – Brighton

Role Overview

We’re looking for a confident, creative and commercially minded Shop Manager to lead our Brighton store. This is a hands-on, highly autonomous role for someone passionate about beautiful, meaningful jewellery and delivering exceptional customer experiences.

You’ll be responsible for running the shop independently, delivering daily sales, teaching jewellery making classes and creating personalised hand-stamped pieces on site. You’ll also manage the rota for shop cover and Ring Making classes, ensuring smooth operations every week.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Customer Experience

Deliver warm, thoughtful service that reflects Posh Totty Designs’ values.

Consistently hit personal and store sales targets, using upselling and product storytelling.

Support customers with bespoke orders and gift guidance.

Confidently guide customers through personalisation options, including birthstones, engraving, etc.

Jewellery Making & Personalisation

Hand-stamp jewellery accurately in store (training provided).

Handle jewellery with care and attention to detail.

Provide advice and guidance on personalised designs.

Ring Making Workshop Host

Confidently lead our in store “Makes” classes in Ring and Charm Making.

Ensure guests feel welcomed, relaxed, and supported through the making process.

Maintain tools and materials and manage setup/clear-down efficiently.

Update HQ on class bookings, feedback and materials needed.

Operations & Stock

Open and close the store and handle all daily operations securely.

Maintain beautiful visual merchandising, refreshing displays weekly.

Keep the space clean, organised and brand-aligned.

Create and manage weekly rotas for store coverage and Makes classes.

Receive and check deliveries, flag discrepancies, and liaise with HQ 

Reporting & Communication

Log sales daily and report trends or customer feedback.

Communicate stock needs, customer requests, and issues clearly to HQ

Write handover notes for other staff members to ensure smooth continuity.

Team Support & Training

Train and support the retail shop assistant.

Share brand knowledge, sales techniques and jewellery care information

Cover occasional additional shifts during key trading periods (e.g. Christmas) and holiday cover. 

What You’ll Bring

A proven track record in retail sales. You're confident and love converting browsers into buyers.

A natural people person with workshop-leading confidence (teaching experience a bonus).

A love of design-led or meaningful products.

A strong eye for display and detail.

Organised, proactive and comfortable working independently.

Creative, calm under pressure and happy to take on new skills like hand-stamping. 

Salary & Benefits

£26,000 – £28,000 pro rata and per year depending on experience.

Commission scheme linked to store sales performance.
